责任(医疗事故)保险
A student is responsible for the student’s actions in contact with patients and others during 临床 assignments. Students are covered by professional liability insurance through Anne Arundel 社区 College for acts or omissions committed within the scope of the students’ 临床 assignment, 包括, 但不限于, 对病人护理的疏忽. Exceptions to insurance coverage may apply, such as an exception to coverage for intentional acts.
在临床任务期间, all incidents that occur resulting in personal injury to patients, 临床附属人员或学生, 和/或财产损失, must be reported immediately to the 临床 coordinator and program director. An incident report must be written to document what took place, and a copy of the report must be submitted to the director of EMS 教育. All incident reports are kept on file in the 卫生科学学院 office and undergo review by the dean of 健康科学. The dean must submit the incident report to the college’s risk manager.

In the case of accidents or illness which occurs during 临床 hours, 以下政策将适用. 如果学生在值班期间生病或受伤, he/she should report to the 临床 instructor or designate. 如果损伤是临床相关的, 应该提交一份事故报告, 并将一份复印件寄给项目主管. The student will be financially responsible for his/her treatment. 无论如何, 如果学生没有任何保险, any financial responsibility for treatment will be the student's responsibility. It is advisable to contact your health care and automobile insurance agent to inquire about health and accident insurance as well as premiums if you are not covered by spouse or parents.
